FAQ's

How long does a grooming appointment typically take?

-Grooming times vary based on size, coat, behavior, and services requested. Shorter haired bath dogs typically take between 30-60 minutes regardless of size while longer haired bath dogs take between 45-90 minutes. Small grooms take between 60-90 minutes, medium grooms between 90-120 minutes, and large grooms between 120-180 minutes. Stand alone nail appointments take roughly 15 minutes.

How do you determine your pricing?

-Pricing is dependent on a number of factors including size, coat condition, behavior, and services requested. As a general rule of thumb, the more time a pup takes, the higher the cost.

What types of payment do you accept?

-I appreciate cash or check but also accept Venmo, Zelle, debit, and credit cards.

What is your cancellation policy?

-I require a minimum of 24 hours notice for all cancellations or a fee of 50% of the estimated grooming cost will be owed. After two incidents pre-payment of the full grooming cost will be required in order to book an appointment. I understand there may be situations beyond your control and will work with you when possible, but please be respectful of my time as I am a by-appointment only business and no shows/cancellations of less than 24 hours don't allow me adequate time to fill your appointment slot with another client.

Do you just groom dogs?

-I groom dogs and small pets such as rabbits, ferrets, and guinea pigs. Unfortunately I don't groom cats but highly recommend Anna Andre at 970-786-5695.

Is your salon located in a storefront?

-It is not. My salon is based out of a room in my home that is fully equipped with the latest grooming equipment and central heat/AC.

What makes a home salon different from other salons?

-Comfort! For most pups being in a home environment puts them at ease and allows them to have a less stressful grooming experience.

What can I do to make the drop off process easier for my pup?

-Pups are great energy readers and can feel when you are stressed or worried, which will in turn make them stressed. The best thing you can do at drop off is show them they have nothing to be scared of by remaining calm and confident.

Am I allowed to come inside with my pet?

-Unfortunately my insurance policy does not cover clients inside my home so I cannot allow anyone inside.

My pup is a runner? What precautions do you take for this?

-I have gates in the doorways of both my salon and bathing area as well as at the top of the stairs leading to my front door as an added safety net.

My pup doesn't like children. Where will your children be during the grooming process?

-We have a split level home with my salon being downstairs.  My husband stays upstairs with our children. I only allow my children to interact with pups with their pawrents permission. During that time they are closely monitored and are never allowed to do anything that would cause stress or discomfort to the pup.

My pup doesn't like other dogs. Where will your dogs be during the grooming process?

-We have a split level home with my salon being downstairs. My personal pups are confined to the upstairs by two separate gates and are never allowed downstairs.

Do you offer any discounts?

-I don't offer any discounts unfortunately but do offer free add on services for prebooking multiple appointments in advance.

Do you have any breed/size restrictions?

-I groom all breeds but am unable to groom XL double coated dogs (Newfoundlands, Great Pyranees, St. Bernards etc.) at this time.

What vaccinations do you require?

-Although I only require your pet to be current on the Rabies vaccine, it is strongly recommended that they also be current on their Distemper and Bordetella vaccines as well.
